Futures are live. And every order on the desk is now something you can drag on the chart.
The third asset class is on the desk, and the way you place an order changed everywhere at once. ES, NQ and both micros replay off the exchange’s own tick tape — and on any chart, in any section, an order is now a line you can take hold of and move.
Index futures
- Four contracts: ES, NQ, MES and MNQ. The micros are a sizing choice against the mini tape, not a second market — MES marks against the ES print and pays MES economics.
- Money is counted in ticks, not points. An ES tick is $12.50, so a point is $50 — on the blotter, on the account, on the chart, on a bracket’s projection. There is one expression for it and every surface reads it.
- Day margin is reserved per contract and checked before the order leaves the ticket. An order that would exceed free margin is refused, with the requirement shown next to what you have.
- Front month is resolved for the date you pick, so a roll week replays the contract that was actually carrying the volume.
The Globex day
- A session opens at 18:00 ET the evening before the date on its label and runs to 17:00 the next afternoon. Start the clock anywhere inside it — the overnight, the London handover, the cash open.
- The two daily closures are drawn as closed, not skipped: the equity-index halt at 16:15 and the maintenance hour at 17:00. The market is stopped and the desk says so, rather than pretending you blinked.
- Submit into a closed window and the ticket refuses it, the way the exchange would. Resting orders survive the break and do not evaluate while the market is shut, because there are no prints to evaluate against.
- A stop the closure ran past fills at the reopen, at the first print after the market comes back — the whole gap, against you.
- Holidays and early closes come from the exchange’s calendar as data. A day that was shortened replays short; a day the market never opened is not offered.
Any session, no waiting list
- Any Globex day inside the last five years is playable. If nobody has replayed it yet, the tape is pulled and packed while you trade it: the chart starts within a second or two and builds forward ahead of the playhead.
- The session form tells you that before you start rather than springing it on you, and it no longer offers a date the start path would then refuse.
- Whoever plays that date next gets it instantly.
Futures fills
- With no depth feed, queue position is genuinely unknowable — so a resting limit fills only on evidence the tape supplies: the market trades through your level, or more contracts print at it than were standing ahead of you when you joined. Consuming exactly the size ahead makes you next in line, not filled.
- Market and stop orders carry a protection bound, because the exchange has no unbounded market order. Whatever the bound stops does not chase and does not cancel — it rests there as a limit.
Trading from the chart
- Arm a price on the chart and the order draws as a line with its own controls: quantity, order type, reverse, cancel. Drag the line to reprice it.
- Attach a take-profit and a stop. They draw as their own lines, shaded back to your entry, and each carries what it is worth if it fills. They size with the position and cancel each other when one of them fills.
- Dragging a working order is a real cancel and replace, so it loses queue priority — which is what repricing costs on a real book.
- Your position, your average cost and your resting orders all live on the chart, on the main window and on a chart torn off to a second monitor.
- Nothing is drawn as done before the engine says it is. A projected figure is labelled as a projection, and it never becomes a fill on its own.
Fixed
- The position line on the chart was reporting futures profit and loss at one fiftieth of the truth on ES — it was multiplying a price distance by a size, the equities rule, and printing the raw point count with a dollar sign in front of it. All three surfaces now agree to the cent. Equities were never affected.
- Take-profit and stop projections on a bracket had the same fault, at the same scale. They now price through the contract, on the same cent the fill engine settles at, and the tooltip reads points per contract on futures instead of cents per share.

Forex is live. Ten pairs, real bid and ask, and a margin account that behaves like one.
The second asset class is on the desk. Ten spot FX pairs replay off the same recorded market the equities tape does — real quotes, real spreads, and the thin hours left exactly as thin as they were.
Forex
- Ten pairs, driven by the quote tape rather than by candles. There is no volume in spot FX and the desk does not invent any: what moves the chart is bid and ask changing, which is what actually moved it.
- You pay the spread. Buys fill at the ask, sells and shorts at the bid, and your cost basis is the price you touched — not the mid.
- The market is open 24/5, and so is the session picker. Sunday 17:00 ET through Friday 17:00 ET, which means the Tokyo session is reachable for the first time.
- Pick a closed date and the form says so before you start, naming the reason — a weekend, a holiday, or a stretch where the tape is genuinely too thin to replay honestly.
The account
- A real margin account: leverage from 50:1 down to 1:1, Free Margin, Margin Level, and margin reserved on the position instead of full notional.
- An order that would exceed free margin is refused before it is sent, with the requirement shown next to what you have.
- Selling more than you hold closes what you hold and stops. It does not flip you short by accident.
Fills
- Orders larger than the tape can absorb fill in pieces at the prices the tape actually printed, and you can watch them walk.
- In the thin hours — the 17:00 ET rollover especially — orders fill slower and wider, because the quotes really did stop arriving.
- Right-click any fill for the reasoning: the latency, the spread you crossed, and where each fraction of a pip went.
- Prices carry fractional pips, so a 0.2-pip spread reads as 0.2, not 0.
Charts
- Tick delta and session CVD for forex, drawn from classified quote changes, with volume bars tinted by which side was leading.
- The spread meter carries a liquidity-provider count and a sparkline, so a widening spread can be read against how many venues were still quoting.
Fixed
- Cash in the session header was reporting a forex position as though its full notional had left your account. It now reads the same margin basis as every other figure on the desk.
- Finishing a forex session and saving it to the journal returned an error and lost the record. Forex sessions save.

Share the session. Challenge someone to beat it.
A finished session can now leave the desk as a link — one anybody can open, watch, and take a run at themselves.
Shareable session cards
- Turn a finished session into a card and share the link. Revoke it whenever you want; the link dies with it.
- The link unfurls properly in a chat or a timeline — a real card with the session’s numbers on it, not a bare URL.
- Anyone who opens it can watch the session play back without an account.
- Turn a card into a challenge: same ticker, same date, same start, same starting cash. Whoever takes it gets a versus card comparing the two runs side by side.
Signing in
- Sign in with a code sent to your email, instead of a password.
Replay
- Your fills, your resting orders, and your average cost now draw on the chart, so the position reads from the chart instead of the ticket.
- Losing the connection mid-session no longer costs you the session. Locates survive the drop, and the stream picks up where it left off rather than replaying stale ticks.
- An open position is now valued at cost when the session’s equity is computed, so the number on the desk stops disagreeing with the one on the recap.
Fixes
- The News panel worked everywhere except production, where it returned the site’s own HTML instead of headlines. Fixed, along with the same fault sitting unreported on the Time Machine import path.
- The Sign in link on this site pointed at a page that did not exist, so every signed-out visitor trying to get back to the desk hit a dead end.
- The contact address is now
[email protected]. The address published before was on a domain that does not receive mail, so anything sent to it went nowhere.

The beta opens, the charts grow up, and the desk gets fast.
The waitlist becomes a real signup, the chart stops being the weakest thing on the desk, and the slowest parts of starting a session stop being slow.
Join the beta
Ask for access, clear a bot check, and an invite arrives. Set a password and you’re on the desk; a welcome note follows half an hour later.
Speed
- Session startup: 24 seconds down to about 3.
- News headlines: about 75 seconds down to about 1.
- Indicators recompute incrementally and VWAP streams, bars are cached per frame, and a single trade tick no longer redraws every panel on the desk.
Charts
- Timeframes beyond the minute: 3m, 15m, 30m, 1h and 4h.
- Two more ways to read the same bars — Heikin-Ashi, and hollow candles.
- Indicators are picked from a catalog rather than a fixed list, and you can run more than one of the same indicator at once — two moving averages at different lengths, on the same chart.
- Every indicator instance has its own settings: parameters, colours, line width and style, applied as you change them and kept for next time.
- Anchored VWAP anchors where you tell it to — 4:00 ET or the 9:30 open — with optional ±1σ and ±2σ bands. It holds its value when you seek or switch timeframe instead of restarting from wherever you landed.
- Drawing tools place click-by-click, the tool you picked stays picked, and they live on an icon rail on the chart itself.
- Each pane has its own control strip, and the whole panel has been restyled.
Replay
- A News panel gated to the replay clock — headlines reveal as the clock reaches the moment they were published, never before.
- Settings split into sections instead of one long list.
- Scanner Day mode is greyed out while it’s still in development, rather than offering a mode that isn’t ready.
Data
- Daily bars are cached, and point-in-time float falls back to a secondary source when the primary comes up empty.

Waitlist signups confirm by email.
Joining the waitlist now sends a confirmation email. Click the link and your spot is confirmed — one round trip, so a mistyped address never silently holds a seat.
- Confirmation email on signup, with a landing page that acknowledges the confirmation.
- The form’s success state now tells you to check spam, which is where it lands often enough to be worth saying.

Short selling, with a real locate.
You can be short on the desk now — and you have to find the borrow first, the same as you would live.
Short selling and locate
- Signed positions and margin throughout, so a short is a real position rather than a sign flip on a long.
- A borrow market and a locate request: no locate, no short.
- Short-sale-restriction badge and a margin banner on the ticket, so the state reads before you send.
Replay
- An off-market print filter on the tape.
- VWAP seeded from the session’s earlier prints, so it reads correctly when you join mid-session.
- Reconnect handling on the replay stream.
- The chart crosshair tracks your pointer freely instead of snapping to the nearest bar.
Scanners
- The scanner cache now survives a restart and warms overnight, so alerts are ready when the session opens.
This site
- A public roadmap at /roadmap — everything shipped, plus the builds in flight.

The desk goes live.
First production release. The replay desk, an account to sign into, and this site.
The cockpit
- A dockable, splittable workspace you arrange yourself, with named layouts and built-in presets to start from.
- Chart settings — timeframe, log scale, auto-follow, indicators — kept per window instead of shared across all of them.
- A hotkey manager whose edits apply to the session you’re already in, the moment you save.
- Account balance on the desk, with an opening snapshot for the session.
- A dropped connection now says so and retries for real, instead of leaving a frozen panel behind.
Starting cash moved out of a first-run prompt and onto the replay page, where you set it per session.
Scanners and data
- Top-gainers snapshot scanner.
- Point-in-time float — shares outstanding less insider holdings, as they stood on the date you’re trading.
Account
- Sign-in with an auto-provisioned trader profile, a user menu, and a profile page.
- An admin console for user management and support.
